Life is so Volatile

Last night I received a call from a dental hygiene friend of mine.

"Lindsey"

"Yes"

"Dr Steve's daughter Lauren just died"

"WHAT?????"

We had a 10 minute conversation about Lauren's passing and what had lead up to it. Honestly, my heart literally sank. I felt sick all over. I wanted to vomit!

"Why God? She's so young and a woman who honors You! Why" as the tears poured out!

All day today I cried. I did not know Lauren all that well but everytime I saw her she always had a smile on her beautiful face. She was a pure, genuine soul....something that is really hard to come by these days. She is the type of girl you would want your boys to marry. She was an absolute doll. It is hard to imagine she has "moved on"

Lauren's passing made me take a look at my life and what I can do better to become a more Godly woman in raising my children, being a wife, being a friend and serving others.

Here's to my blessings.....Thank you God for everything you have given me!

Uncle Mitch and his friend Becky came to Texas for a visit. We all had SOOOOO much fun! We grilled, played, swam (well, not us girls...we were too busy chatting up girl-style). It had been years since we had seen Uncle Mitch (Matthew's youngest bro). The kids sure did fall in love with him and Becky (she's a Veterinarian, isn't that too cool). By the end of the trip everyone was hugging and kissing. Just delightful!!!

We cannot wait to see you all again soon...... Let's do it sooner than later!

Here are some pics of the visit...

I'm going to post to Shutterfly so you all can purchase/download :o)
Hugs & Kisses!

I Love you Mom!!!

Simply put, I have the BEST mom in the entire world. She has set the bar really high for me....I aspire to be a mom like her! All moms should be as loving and giving as mine. I couldn't be more lucky! Isn't she beautiful!

This past week has been a horrible week. Carly had her tonsils, adenoids and a lymph node removed. She has been very sick and the recovery has been terrible! Yesterday she was in the hospital and today she was at Children's. Carly is finally doing much better!

My Mom to the rescue....Matthew had to leave town this week so my awesome mom took off 2 days of work just to help me. And help is just want the Dr ordered. She brought over groceries, cleaned up the house, did all of my laundry (all 100 loads), did the dishes, organized my closets, changed all the sheets, loved on all 3 of the kids, played games, snuggled with the kiddos on the couch. Just to keep you straight, this is a NORMAL occurrence from my mom, not a one time deal. Geez Mom, I am so grateful for you and all that you do for my family!

My mom; She's PERFECT! She gives up so much to help me! I love her so much for that. Our household literally would be sunk without her help. The kids absolutely love and adore her. Their relationship is a beautiful thing to watch. The kids always have to put on a talent show when they see "Grandmom." One of these days, I'll post a video of the talent show :o)

*Cheers* Here's to you mom, you're the BEST and I love you with everything I am and everything I do!!

Carly needs your prayers!

So, I'm finding that I'm becoming addicted to blogging and reading other friends/families blogs.....What? "Did someone say Lindsey is starting to like to write?" HaHa! I know, but its true. I am actually starting to enjoy writing/blogging. LOL!!! For those of you who dont have a blog, get one. I miss so may of you and would love to read about your lives and see pics of your family! So take the plunge, get a blog!!! Ok, the reason I'm blogging......

Last night was a hard night. Carly, who had her tonsils and adenoids out mid last week is having a really hard time recovering. She was up a huge majority of the night crying. My little angel was in so much pain. She wont eat, hardly drinks and we are having trouble getting the meds down her. I think we need more prayers for healing. It is so hard to see your baby suffer. I cant wait for her to feel better. So, please say a little prayer for her.....we want her to get well soon!

4th of July in Jammies

Well, my first blog posted without me checking for errors. Ugg! I'm learning how to navigate this blog stuff as I go, so forgive the craziness. Actually you will prob see craziness as a consistency with me *smile*!!

I just want to post a couple more pics of our fun 4th of July in our PJs. Carly had her tonsils and adenoids taken out earlier this week so we needed to take it easy on the 4th....nothing like watching fireworks from the Minivan!

God Bless America! What a wonderful country we live in!

I took the plunge!!

Well, I cannot believe it! I took the "blog" plunge! I absolutely hate to write so blogging is something that is not real comfortable just yet. I would rather stick needles into both of my eyes that write a paragraph. I guess that is why I need to blog.....practice writing! I gift I was not blessed with!

I guess to catch you all up to speed. I have 3 amazing children. My oldest is on the Autism Spectrum. He is on the very high end...in the gray area. We have a diagnosis of HFA (High Functioning Autism), AS (Aspergers Syndrome) & PDD-NOS (Pervasive Developmental Disorder Not Otherwise Specified). Carter LOVES to write and draw. He is the MASTER of art & spelling. My 2 younger ones are NT (Neruotypical) girls...with a fiesty bite! Carly is the mother-hen. She loves to play house and tell everyone what to do. She also LOVES dance. She just had her first recital and it was absolutely precious. We all had such a good time watching "Carlywood" dance. (Carlywood is a nickname Matthew gave her, he is the KING of giving nicknames). And then there is little Car-Car (another nickname), she just started dance and loves it. Carly has taught Carsyn her dance routine and now Carsyn walks around the house doing it, totally cute!

I am currently working dental hygiene every Friday am at an office in Richardson. I work with one of my good friends so it is like going to a party every Friday. Something I love to do since I am a chat-a-holic! :o) LOL During the school year I teach preschool 2 days a week at our church. My class is the little toddlers, the kiddos are so adorable and I love having the opportunity to teach them about Jesus. I was also recently asked to be a Support Lead for a program with our school district for the Gifted/Talented & Special Education students. I jumped at the opportunity b/c I wholeheartedly believe that I can make a positive difference. Supporting each other on our journeys is so important and I am thrilled to be a vital role in making that happen with our school district.

Currently we are on summer break so my "work" schedule is very light and we are just enjoying the down time with Daddy.

Well, I have no idea what I will blog about in the future. Hopefully just update out of town family on what's going on with the "B gang"

Be sure to give your loved ones Sugar Kisses!!!

xoxo
